Laundry Day

It has been a few years since I last posted something. This is one which I did back in 2019, before life got busy with three little boys. I am hoping to start doing some art again, now that my eldest son has taken a keen interest in art himself. He has rekindled a flame within my heart. It was just recently that I realised that I had never posted this painting on my blog. So here it is!
I love the soft colour pastel palette, it reminds me of fresh clean laundry – something a Mom treasures especially when there are many muddy shorts and pants to wash. I have also loved the old washing boards, and have a great appreciation for those ladies who have spent hours washing clothes.
